B.Voc courses prioritize practical learning by conducting a total of 180 credits, of which 108 credits are dedicated to practical or skill components, and 72 credits are allocated for theory or education components. Similar to BA, B.com, BBA, BSc, B.Voc degrees are recognized as regular degree courses by the UGC. B.Voc graduates are eligible to appear for all competitive exams conducted in India, including those for prestigious positions such as IAS, IPS, SSC, etc. The B.Voc courses, typically spanning three years, also offer NSQF Level 6 certification upon completion and advanced diplomas to students, enhancing their employability. In case a student cannot complete the course due to any reason, they have the flexibility to rejoin and complete it within a year. Since their inception in 2014 with 550 students, B.Voc courses have witnessed significant growth, with over 100,000 students enrolled by the year 2022.
